6 Ways To Decorate Pooja Background For Navratri

Framework– A frame can be set up at the backdrop and use a fabric of your choice to cover it. You can also use a saree or colorful dupatta’s to cover the frame. These fabrics will create a perfect backdrop for decoration. You can further decorate the backdrop with flower strings. Now keep the goddess idol on a raised platform infront of this setup. Keep lamps on both sides of the idol.

Fairy lights– Another quick and eye catchy idea is to use fairy lights. Adding lights to your décor never fails to impress. So use strings of lights at the background and use fresh flower strings in between to make the décor more impressive.

Rangoli– If you can’t do much with the background then simply use flowers to create a toran on the wall or on the door of your pooja frame. Compliment this look with fresh flower rangoli on the floor. Use diya’s and lamps to make the entire setup look surreal.

Paper art– If you are good with art then this is something to try. Use different colored papers and shapes to create a background like this. Kolam is an auspicious pattern which is made on special occasions, so you can create a nice kolam pattern for the background. You can also do some gota work with gota laces and gota broaches on the background.

Circular frame Asan– If you have small idols then you can also make something impressive and out of the box frame like this to keep the idol of the goddess.
