Immunity Boosting Herbal Tea Recipes

Herbal tea has always been in our tradition since time immemorial. Whether its fighting the seasonal cold, cough and fever or boosting overall immunity and well being of the body, herbal tea is always very useful. Here are a few recipes which you can try easily…..

Herbal Milk Tea– First collect all the ingredients in a bowl like a piece of green cardamom, a small piece of crushed ginger and a small stick of cinnamon. Now take one cup water in a pan and transfer all the spices in it.Keep the flame on low and wait for the water to boil before adding tea leaves and milk. Let the milk absorb all the spices by boiling the mix for another one minute and you will be ready to serve this herbal tea. Ginger and cinnamon are great anti inflammatory spices which also help to boost immunity. Adding cardamom balances the heat generating properties of other spices.

Tulsi and lemongrass green tea– Now this is your own immunity booster herbal green tea. Simply use few pieces of basil or Tulsi and a few strands of lemongrass to water and bring everything to boil, simmer for another one minute. If you want you can add a bit of green tea to this recipe, but this preparation would taste great even without adding it. Strain and enjoy. You can use honey for adding sweetness in this recipe.

Mixed spices black tea– In a pan take 2 cup water and switch on the flame on low. Add a piece of cinnamon, 2 crushed black pepper, one clove, 1 piece of green cardamom and few fennel seeds and a few leaves of Tulsi. Simmer these spices till the water is reduced to one cup, now add a bit of black tea and a small piece of grated or crushed ginger and simmer for one or two more minute. Add jaggery for sweetness.

Turmeric and Mint leaves– Take 1/4th tspn carom seeds, a few basil and a few mint leaves, and 1/4th tspn organic turmeric powder in a pan filled with 1 1/2 cup water, and simmer till the water remains near to 1 cup. Add jaggery for sweetness.
