Body odor and especially underarm odor is the biggest problem for few during summers. It is embarrassing for such people to even move their hands in public.
But here are few ways to kill the odor by using natural and easily available ingredients, which may be lying on your kitchen shelf.
Apart from this, try not to repeat the same clothes twice during summers, as the bacteria in used clothes can worsen the situation. Also people who are having this problem should not wear synthetic clothes, instead choose natural fabrics like cotton and linen as they absorb body sweat.
If possible cut down on your caffeine intake, and drink plenty of water to remove toxins from the body.
Lemon– This is the easiest and fastest way to keep the body odor away. Its citrus property helps in killing the odor creating bacteria and also helps in restoring the ph level of the skin. Slice a lemon into half and rub it on the area, keep it for a minute or two and clean with water. You can also use the leftover slices of lemons as they are extensively used in summers, this way you will not have to waste a fresh lemon. Use it daily while bathing for best results.
Tomato– It acts like lemon, you can take out the pulp of tomato by grating it and apply it directly to the underarms. Keep for 10 minutes and wash.
Turnip– Take out juice of turnip and apply it directly to the area, this will keep the odor in control for some time.
Apple cider vinegar– A great vinegar which has so many uses and benefits. Dip a ball of cotton in it and rub it gently on the underarms. Keep it for sometime, the acidic properties will kill the germs. Wash off with water.
Tea tree oil– Its has great anti bacterial properties and therefore is very helpful in acne and other skin related problems. Use it directly or make a deodorant spray by adding 3-4 drops to a cup of water. Mix well and store this mixture in a empty spray bottle. Your natural deodorant is ready to be used.
