Massage with warm oil– The first step to get rid of itchiness is to be regular with your oil massage routine. Oil massage helps in breaking down the dirt particles and also helps in even blood circulation, which in turn relieves from the itchiness.

Apple Cider Vinegar– ACV is antimicrobial and anti-inflamatory and therefore helps in eliminating the bacteria or fungi that could be causing itchiness. It also exfoliates the scalp and helps in maintaining a good PH level which is an important step to scalp health. To use simply dilute ACV with water in 1:2 ratio and apply it directly to the scalp. Let it sit for few minutes and follow with regular cleansing regime with shampoo.

Lemon and curd– You can also use lemon or curd separately to get rid of the itchy scalp. Both condition the scalp while cleaning it thoroughly at the same time. Just apply lemon juice or curd directly to the scalp and rinse after 10-15 minutes. Though curd be kept for like thirty minutes too.

Neem leaves– If you are suffering from dandruff you might have an itchy scalp. The best way to eliminate dandruff completely in one go is to use neem water while shampoo. Boil a few strands of neem leaves in water and let it cool before using. Use this water to wash your hair. You will be amazed with the results.

Witch Hazel– It is used for dry and sensitive skin, and is used in herbal medicine. Mix one part witch hazel with two parts water and gently massage all over the scalp for five minutes before washing.

Tea tree oil– Tea tree oil works wonders for any skin related problem. Its anti fungal property helps in getting rid of itchy skin. To use it, mix a few drops of tea tree oil with coconut, jojoba, or olive oil and massage it into your scalp, leave it for 10 minutes before rinsing.
