Gujiya is one of the most delicious and a must have out of all the dishes served on holi, the festival seems incomplete without this sweet dish. It is generally made up of maida or flour and filled with a dry mixture of khoya, dry fruits and coconut and is deep fried in a shape of dumplings.
Sometimes it is also made with a filling of suji and dry fruits for a grainy texture.
Though traditionally they are made up of khoya, but nowadays many versions of it can be found like Chocolate gujiya, baked gujiya and so on. Here is a recipe of traditional and delicious Mawa gujiya.
