Lip smacking Potato Recipes For Navratra

Potatoes is the only vegetable which is loved by people from all the age groups like from kids to old age people. The best thing is that it can be eaten during fasting too and is lipsmackingly delicious. Few very famous recipes which we all are aware of are finger chips, aloo chat, aloo tamatar, but here we have mentioned few out of the box recipes. Go through and try them…. Aloo Paneer Kofta– In a bowl mix mashed potatoes, paneer, almond powder, crushed black pepper, green chillies, garam masala, chopped coriander leaves, salt and mix well. Add corn starch for binding this mixture and prepare small flattened balls. You can add roasted dry fruits like almonds, cashew, raisins inside these balls for a crunchy taste. Deep fry them and enjoy with green coriander and mint chutney. If you want to have it with gravy then prepare a paste of tomatoes and cashew and cook it with herbs like green chilli, coriander powder, garam masala and ginger for a thick gravy. Finally add koftas at last. Serve it with chapatis. 

Dahi wale aloo– Just crumble the boiled potatoes softly with your hands. It should not be mashed but should have lumps. Now heat some oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, once it crackles add aesofotida, coriander powder, turmeric powder, fennel powder, ginger and green chillies, fry at bit for few seconds and add the potatoes. Mix well and fry for few minutes, now add yogurt and some water. Add salt and garam masala powder. Simmer for few minutes and when the gravy thickens switch off the flame. You can add kasuri methi leaves to it too while cooking. 

Aloo Makhana– Roast Makhana with little bit of ghee, till the become crunchy and brownish gold. Take it out and in the same pan heat ghee and add cumin seeds, when they begin to crackle add boiled chopped potatoes, anardana powder, salt and green chillies. If you do not have anardana powder then substitute it with lemon juice in the end, no need to cook it with the potatoes. Now add the makhana to this mixture and switch off the flame. Add lemon juice and mix. You can add powdered peanut masla to this mixture for a great taste.
