3 Delicious Recipes For Mahashivratri

Mahashivratri is being celebrated in most parts of the country today. So here are three delicious fasting recipes which you can make for your family on this special occasion….

Sabudana Kheer– Rinse 1/2 cup sabudana pearls in water so that the starch from the pearls clears out. Rinse it thoroughly until the water becomes clear. Soak these pearls in 2 cup water for about half an hour. Once done put the same pan on the gas and cook this on low flame. Now take 2 cup warm milk and add this to the sabudana and cook until the pearls are cooked completely. Add sugar in between and keep stiring till the kheer is cooked to avoid it from burning. Cooking this on low flame will give the kheer a nice creamy flavor, also always use full cream milk for preparing sweets as it adds to the flavor of the sweets. You can also add kesar and cardamom powder for flavor. Garnish with fried cashew and raisins.

Now add black pepper and saute for 1 more minute. Once done switch off the flame and let the potatoes cool down. Afterwards mix peanuts with this, you can also add green chilies if you are adding salt to this recipe. Enjoy this with curd, if having alone add a dash of lemon juice for the tangy flavor.
