Overnight oats have gained popularity amongst people who are diet conscious, and also who like to have a very soothing and subtle one pot breakfast. Overnight oats gives you the luxury of preparing the meal well in advance and is healthy and tasty too. So if you are someone who hardly gets time to prepare a morning meal but do not want to live on bread then this is a healthy option to try. Here are some ways to enjoy overnight oats…..
Basic Vanilla– This one is a simple recipe which can be arranged in a minute or two. Take oats in a jar and mix greek yogurt, milk, few drops of vanilla essence, pinch of salt and maple syrup in it. Mix everything nicely and keep this in fridge. Enjoy the next day with nuts and fresh fruits.
Chocolate peanut butter– In a jar take oats and add milk, greek yogurt, pinch of salt, cocoa or sweetened chocolate powder, peanut butter and maple syrup or honey. Mix everything and keep it overnight. You can also add choco chips while serving for extra crunch.
Pumpkin oats– Well the recipe is simple. You have to take basic ingredients like oats, milk, greek yougurt, maple syrup, and a bit of fresh pumpkin puree. Mix all and do not forget to put cinammon powder in this version as cinammmon and pumpkin go so well together.
Coffee shot– For all the coffee lovers who need their coffee shots first thing in the morning! Well this one recipe will serve your coffee cravings. Prepare oats as usual and add coffee powder for taste. You can also mix a bit of chocolate powder for a chocolaty taste.
Apple walnut– Caramelize pieces of apple in sugar and keep aside. Once they cool arrange everything in a jar as usual and add caramelized apple and store in fridge. Next day serve overnight oats with roasted walnuts and some cinnamon powder.
