Eating healthy is something which everyone should practice in order to keep themselves fit and fine. But mostly we all indulge in some of the other things which are not so good for our system. But to deal with those evening hunger pangs we have a few healthy recipes which your taste buds will simply love.
Corn chaat– Corn is high in fiber and therefore helps in digestion. Apart from that it contains several other vitamins and essential minerals. To make corn chaat wash corn kernels and keep them in boiled water for 5 minutes. Now strain the water nicely and let the corn air dry for 5 minutes. Take the kernels in a bowl and add salt, black salt, red chilli powder, pepper powder, chaat masala, green chilli, fresh coriander leaves and lemon juice. Give this a nice mix and you are done with the recipe. You can also add fresh cut onions, capsicum and raw mango to this recipe to make it more flavorful.
Sooji Appam– Appam is one dish which can be made with lot of veggies. You can take vegetables of your choice like finely chopped onions, capsicums, bell pepper, corn, carrots, beans etc. Add roasted cashews for a nutty flavor. Now add rava or sooji and curd to the veggies along with salt, green chiili, ginger, and a bit of water to mix everything nicely. let the mixture sit for 15-20 minutes and cook in appe mould along with some oil or ghee.
Puffed rice or Bhel puri– Puffed rice is a healthy snack option. Though you can make so many things with it, but bhel puri is something which gives your taste buds a perfect treat. Take puffed rice in a bowl and add a bit of oil to it. Mix nicely and then add spices like powdered sugar, salt, black salt, chilli powder, green chillies, fresh coriander, lemon juice and a bit of tamarind water. You can also add chopped onions, cucumber, tomatoes to add a nice crunch to the dish. Don’t forget to add roasted chana and peanuts to this recipe for an added nutty flavor.
