5 Minutes Skin Care Routine For Busy Moms

Often moms complain that they don’t have time for themselves and skin care or self care is a dream for them because they prioritize things that matter to family and let go off their own needs. But wait, rest, you are a mom and a human and you need rest and self care too to let your body and soul take of the things. It’s correctly said that you cannot pour from an empty glass so nourish yourself first and the rest you can and will definitely take care of! Here is a simple 5 minute skin care routine which you can do daily to look and feel better in a long run….

Morning routine

Cleanser– Use a gentle face wash to clean and take off the night care routine products off your skin.

Toner– A gentle toner preferably without alcohol will be great for the open pores.

Serum– Use a serum of your choice like snail for hydration or vitamin C for glow.

Moisturiser– A good moisturiser whichever suits you, it does not have to be expensive. Just make sure to pick one according to your skin type. If you have oily or mix skin then go for gel based or lightweight moisturiser, and if you have dry skin then any regular moisturiser will do the job.

Sunscreen– This is not to be missed. You have to wear a sunscreen and again choose a one according to your skin type, and do not go for the ones which leave a white cast on the skin.

Night routine

Cleanser– Wash off the dirt and pollution with a cleanser of your choice.

Treatment– Choose a treatment according to the skin. Like use niacinamide if you have uneven skin tone, or go for retinol if you have aging skin and fine lines and so on.

Moisturiser– Follow this up with a moisturiser. A light weight moisturiser will do the trick.

Extended steps

Eye cream– You can also use a good quality eye cream or eye patches to soothe your baggy and tired eyes. We recommend you to create your own under eye cream by mixing aloe vera with few drops of almond oil. Mix thoroughly and store in a glass jar.

Lip balm– Use a herbal lip balm to soothe chapped skin. Or simply massage with a drop of desi ghee.

Scrub– You can also use a scrub once a week to exfoliate the skin. Dedicate a day for this step and on that day you can ditch the night treatment step. Simple, cleaning, scrubbing, toning and moisturising will be good enough for that night.

Facial massage– Once a month or every fifteen days is a good period to indulge in massages. And off course you can do this weekly if you have time.
