When it comes to adding a design detail to the sleeves then a flounce on the sleeves instantly comes to mind. And why not, a flounce can be done in so many different ways that it looks refreshing and new every time you do it. A flounce also adds a very feminine and graceful touch to your kurta’s. Here are a few different ways to incorporate it into your ethnic pieces….
Frill with gathered flounce– A short flounce sleeve can be clubbed with an additional design detail to make it look more gorgeous. An addition of frills with the flounce will look extremely beautiful. Needless to say that it adds a graceful look to the otherwise plain suit.
Beads with box pleat flounce– You can also go in for a front slit sleeve where in the sleeves can have a beaded attachment to join both the sleeve parts.
Single deep inverted pleat flounce with bow details– The front or the middle of the sleeve can be highlighted with contrast bow details.
Flounce sleeve with a slit– You can also go in for a sleeve with a full length slit with a flounce attached. The two parts of the sleeve can then be tied with a drawstring.
Double layered circular flounce– And when you want a clean looking flounce with no gathers or pleats then go in for a circular cut flounce which looks beautiful. You can also create layers with this cut of flounce as it’s easy to manage at seams.
