Pantone ‘Color Of The Year’ 2020 Is Classic Blue

The Pantone Color Institute recently announced that its 2020 color of the year is PANTONE 19-4052, a classic and dependable Deep Blue shade.

Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute shared, “We are living in a time that requires trust and faith. It is this kind of constancy and confidence that is expressed by PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue, a solid and dependable blue hue we can always rely on. Imbued with a deep resonance, Classic Blue provides an anchoring foundation. A boundless blue evocative of the vast and infinite evening sky, Classic Blue encourages us to look beyond the obvious to expand our thinking; challenging us to think more deeply, increase our perspective and open the flow of communication.

Since 2000, the Pantone Color Institute has declared a particular color which goes as “Color of the Year”. The particular color serves as a guideline for various consumer oriented industries like fashion, graphics, packaging etc, across the globe. Twice a year, the company hosts a secret meeting of representatives from various nations color standards groups in a European capital .After two days of presentations and debate a single color is chosen as the ‘Color of the year’ for the following year.
