Til gur ladoo– Take 1 cup roasted white sesame seeds, 1/4th cup roasted peanuts, and 1/4th cup roasted desiccated coconut. Put them all in a grinder along with 1/4th cup jaggery and little bit of cardamom powder. Now grind everything together just for few seconds. Remove the lid and scrap off everything from the sides and grind once more for a few seconds. Once done take the mixture out and prepare laddo’s.
Gur parantha– The recipe is very easy, prepare a dough from wholewhaet atta and simply stuff the parantha’s with the stuffing of gur mixture. For gur stuffing mix gur, dry fruit or almond powder and cardamom powder together and stuff the parantha’s like we normally do.
Til gur puran poli– Take 1/2 cup roasted sesame seeds, and 1/2 cup roasted desiccated coconut along with 2 tbsp roasted gramflour in a grinder grind everything along with 1 cup jaggery, cardamom powder and 1 tbsp khushus. Make a coarse powder and keep aside. To make a dough mix wholewheat flour and all purpose flour in a ratio of 1:1 and add little salt and hot oil. Mix everything and with the help of milk make a soft dough. Cover and keep aside for one hour. Afterwards just use the dough and the mixture to prepare puran poli.
Khichri– Loved by everyone this is one dish which everyone is quite familiar with. Cooked with rice, yellow moong or black urad dal, ghee and other spices it is relished with pickles, papad and salad on the sides.
Gulgule– This sweet deep fried wholewheat flour dumpling is something which nobody can say no to. Prepare a batter of wholewheat flour by mixing water, gur, cardamom powder, sauf, kesar and keep it aside for some time. Heat oil in a pan and drop the batter with your hands to make gulgule.
