How often do you clean your toothbrush….well if no then do give it a thought. A toothbrush is something which you use everyday to clean all the germs out of your mouth, but while doing so it itself gets exposed to same amount of germs. And no…. simply using plain water to clean the toothbrush doesn’t solves the purpose in a long run. So what do you do in order to maintain a proper hygiene. Here are a few tips….
Use mouth wash– The best way to clean a toothbrush is to dip it in mouthwash. You can keep the brush dipped for 15-20 minutes and then rinse it with warm water.
Dry it properly– Keep the brush in a well ventilated area where it could dry properly. A damp brush generally attracts dust and mould which gives birth to germs and infection. So do remember to take proper care.
Change frequently– It’s said that you should change your toothbrush every 3-4 months for proper hygenine. So do not wait for the bristles to run out of proportion to change the brush, just do it on time.
Do not use harsh chemicals- And don’t go for harsh chemicals to clean your brush, it can damage the bristles and is also not too good for overall health.
