Priyanka Chopra is one girl who has made a mark for herself in whatever she does. Be it her passion for acting and films, or her singing career and even the philanthropic work which she does is always notable. And being associated with UNICEF since 2006, her work, dedication and concern towards matters like environment, health and education, women’s rights, gender equality and feminism are always noticed and appreciated.
And in order to recognize her dedication and work she was honored with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award at the UNICEF Snowflake Ball on December 3, in New York. The honour is named after Danny Kaye, an American actor and the charity’s first Goodwill Ambassador.
For the event, Priyanka wore a fiery red figure hugging gown and looked beautiful in neatly slayed back hair. The makeup was very minimal and accessorised with just a pair of diamond earrings. She was presented the award by Diane von Furstenberg.
Priyanka, who is a global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights, was selected for the award early this year. To which she had expressed “So humbled. Thank you UNICEF for honouring me with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award at the UNICEF Snowflake Ball in December.”
