Navaratri, the festival in which nine forms of Maa Durga are worshiped has already started.

Everyday a new avatar of the holy Goddess is worshiped and all of them have their own significance.

But do you know that like the 9 forms of the Goddess, there are particular colors which are auspicious for these nine days.

You can include these colors in your daily wear clothing to seek special blessings from the Goddess.

Pratipada Shailputri Color Yellow– Representing nature and purity, Maa Shailputri is believed to be an incarnation of Goddess Parvati and color yellow represents this day. Planet sun is dedicated to this Goddess and therefore wear yellow on this day as it also represents energy.

Dwithiya Bramcharini Green– Color green is for this day as Maa bramcharini (Unmarried Goddess Parvati) represents harmony and peace.

Tritiya Chandraghanta Grey– Chandraghanta is a married avatar of the Goddess. This day gives us strength to fight the evil and gives us peace and prosperity in life.It is also associated with the planet Saturn. Wear grey on the third day to seek blessings from the goddess.

Chaturthi Kushmanda Orange-The Goddess is said to give the universe light and energy and what can be a better color than orange to justify the same.

Panchami Skanda Mata White– Color White is auspicious and is also a sign of purity, wear white on the fifth day of navaratri.

Sashti Katyayani Red– Devi Katyayani is also believed to destroy demon Mahishasura and is the warrior avatar of the Goddess.

Saptami Kalratri Blue– The goddess is worshiped in the form of Kalratri which means the dark night and therefore royal blue is worn on this day as it signifies the dark night.

Ashtami Maha Gauri Pink– Goddess in this form depicts beauty and clears off our sins. Try different shades of pink for this day.

Navami Siddhidatri Purple– Goddess in this form is believed to bestow upon everything the devotees wish for and the color for this day is purple.
