Today, Prime Minister Modi took to Twitter to share a mesmerizing video of Sun temple located in Modhera, Gujarat. The video shows water cascading through the steps of the temple on a rainy day.
“Modhera’s iconic Sun Temple looks splendid on a rainy day! Have a look,” prime minister tweeted.
Sun temple of Modhera is a Monument of National Importance which was built after 1026-27 CE and is dedicated to lord Surya. It is situated on the bank of the river Pushpavati, and is maintained by the Archeological Survey Of India.
During the third week of January, the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat organises an annual three-day dance festival known as ‘Uttarardha Mahotsav’ at the temple.
