Rani Haar – This is a necklace, but an essential one at that. This is what separates the bride from the others. Maang Tika – No bridal look is complete without maang tika, when it comes to Indian brides. And this is what separates you from the rest of the invitees and family members. You can choose just gold, or get kundan and jadau pieces, which are famous in certain communities.

Kamarbandh – This is another elaborate pieces of jewellery, essential or not in all communities, which makes a fashion statement. It can be solid gold, chain-like, made from pearls, or precious and semi-precious stones. This is one of the essential pieces of jewellery which gives shape to the bridal silhouette.

Nath – This is one of the highlights of the traditional bride. Nowadays, many modern Indian brides are giving it a miss for less elaborate nose pins and nose rings. And, if you do not have a piercing, still you can wear clip-ons. They add a glow to the bride’s face.

Wedding Ring – Oh yes! This is definitely needs to be there on your ring finger. And you can always decorate your fingers with others made from gold, platinum and precious stones.

Bangles – These are a part and parcel of the bridal attire, so they do not need a special mention. Every bride wears them, either in gold, precious stones, pearls, and accompanying them are the traditional ‘sankha’ and ‘pola’ for Bengali brides.

Payal – If you are an Indian bride, you really cannot forget the anklet or payal. You feel more feminine, on wearing these. Apart from gold ones, many brides also choose pearls and diamonds.
